A Modern Mompreneur works with Bluey on in the background and a baby on her hip. She schedules client calls during nap time and works well into the middle of the night. She’s dedicated to her business, but knows that there are times her babies need her more. She started her business for the freedom it could give her family, but realized that it set her free.

A Modern Mompreneur is a woman who knows that she was made for more and isn’t afraid to chase it.

I’m a University of Toledo grad who got a degree in business management, but fell in love with marketing! I apprenticed under a brand designer and virtual assistant with 7 years of experience from 2017 to 2020. During that time, I was able to help launch and grow a private-label digital product company for personal fitness coaches, understand the basics of social media management, and develop my copywriting skills.

In 2022, while pregnant with my daughter, I stepped out on my own and started working with clients to develop their own brand strategies and visual brands.

I have worked with microcelebrities and small, two-man web design shops. But, I’ve always known one truth: If we teach women how to build and grow, we can help them change the world.

Fun Facts and a Full Life

I have had a lot of silly moments happen throughout the last 28 years, but the silliest one? That was when I went to Disney at 8 years old and waiting in line to meet Stitch.

I was SO proud of the fact that I could mimick his voice and stick my tongue to the tip of my nose (like he did) that I not only bragged about it, I demonstrated it to a cast member – who asked me if I wanted a job!

In 2016, six months after my now husband lost his childhood dog, I found a floppy eared, chaotic looking pitbull puppy on Craigslist and DEMANDED we bring her home.

It turns out that that sweet girl had been abused. She was an accidental rescue.

Which is why my family’s retirement plan is to start a pit bull rescue called Willow’s Woods.

We unexpectedly lost Willow in November 2023.

I am a RAVENOUS READER. It is not uncommon for me to finish an entire series in a week.

I met my husband in 2015, at his fraternity house. We spent three hours talking about LeBron James’ three point shot and the fact that he was having an off game that night – We’ve watched exactly two basketball games together since.

Business management was not my first choice for a career path. I originally wanted to be a creative writing teacher. As it turns out, marketing is just creative writing for business.

Two things you can find me jonesing for? A DQ Blizzard and a great mocha. I love to find a local coffee shop and hole up for a few hours, but a Dunkin’ Iced Coffee or a Starbucks Iced Shaken Oat Milk Espresso is also an acceptable option.

And while there are differences between all of these industries, there are also similarities.

My job is to uncover the differences and enforce the similarities!
